Hi folks! happy wednesday! I hope you're having an enjoyable week so far. I hit my first car-boot of the season last week and picked up these gems. Pyrex divider dish, vintage fabric, embroidered tablecloth, thermos - minus the cap :( a dreamy butter dish to add to my prized Taunton Vale collection!! and what I thought to be a Pyrosil casserole dish but actually when I cleaned it I noticed it was Corning Ware, the U.S. version, yayy my first :)
I also got round to finishing off my quilt top and basting it. I'm getting much quicker at sandwhich'ing my quilts these days, though it does still take quite some effort; moving rugs and furniture to clear some space ;)
I really love the traditional, vintage feel of this quilt I had an idea when making this quilt I would love to hang it on one of those display ladders I've been spying lately, perfect crafty addition to my living room. Jessie, xo
It's lovely! I've not made a quilt yet but am desperate to have a go. Hope it turns out like yours :)
ReplyDeleteWow, your quilt in progress looks fabulous!!! J.
ReplyDeleteLove everything you make!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great looking quilt! And I sympathize with all the furniture moving and room arranging necessary to baste a quilt. But the rewards are worth it.
ReplyDeleteGreat haul at the car-boot!
Great purchases! And given how much I hate basting, I try to get it out if the way quickly too! Lol!
ReplyDeleteSweet new treasures!! Your quilt top is beautiful!! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteHehe, I think my parents had a blue and white dish and a thermos I've that when I was a little girl in the 80s. They were probably wedding presents from their wedding in the early 70s. I reckon mum probably for rid of them in the 90s, and now they are collectibles!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful, you really are getting the hand of this quilting business my dear, that's quite a few under your belt now isn't it? Does it all get easy with practise?
