Hi friends! Have you got in the festive spirit yet? I have yet to decorate - or even start finish my handmade gifts, but I thought I would start the ball rolling over the weekend with some simple patchwork stockings. I picked out a bunch of Christmassy fabrics, and got cutting! I traced around my old handmade stockings to get the template, then placed the 2.5" squares randomly. These are going to be gifted, and are currently on their way to their new owner.
Meanwhile, I am us new stocking this year too - they're turning out so cute. Once I have progressed more on them I'll show you, promise. I also have to share my dressmaking projects I've been working on - I finished my dress ages ago and made some trousers as well! More to come this week ;) xo
Sounds like you've been very busy! I'm in the same situation as you--not ready for Christmas yet! Let's hope we find extra time and energy soon. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the stockings. They are so colourful.
ReplyDeleteRosezeeta.
Super cute idea, putting on the list for next year.
ReplyDeleteI love the color combination - not too bright, obvious christmas fabrics, but still very festive! I'm curioous about the dress and trousers... I always find it difficult to switch from patchwork/quilting to dressmaking. Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteYour stockings are lovely. I haven't started decorating yet and have only just started making some decorations.
ReplyDeleteLovely stockings. The ones I made are HUGE, yours look a much nicer size.
ReplyDeleteWe have decorated and all the presents are sorted. It helps being far away from family and thus needing to get stuff sorted for whenever they happen to visit towards the end of the year (which was half-term for the in-laws and end of November for my parents).
Oh these are lovely
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stockings Jessie!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Looking forward to seeing your dress and trousers- I AM impressed!

ReplyDeleteThey are so sweet and pretty!! Love all the fabrics! xo Heather
